Delivery to Hospitals During Covid-19

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic there are multiple factors that can cause the delivery of your order to be delayed. The majority of our orders are delivered as expected and without issue but we want to be sure to provide you with some actions you can take to help reduce the chances of a delivery delay and to help you understand why a delay might occur. The tips below are meant to reduce the chances of delivery delays but are not a guarantee that a delay will not occur. Helpful Tips

  • If your recipient is on a Covid-19 floor we strongly encourage you to call the hospital beforehand and confirm that the recipient is able to receive a delivery.
  • When placing your order include your recipient's room number and phone number if possible.
  • If you know a friend or family member is going to be with your recipient in the hospital you can include their contact information in the 'Additional Information' section at checkout. If the hospital's policy restricts the driver from entering the floor your recipient is on the driver will be able to contact the friend or family member and advise them where they can pick up the order.
  • Include your recipient's home address in the 'Additional Information' section at checkout. If necessary, and with your approval, we will reroute your order to your recipient's home address at no additional cost to you.
  • If ordering a floral bouquet you can approve a substitution request in advance that will allow our floral designers to fill your bouquet to value even if certain flowers are unavailable without needing to contact you first.
  • If it is appropriate for your situation consider ordering a home delivery item to meet your recipient when they return home from the hospital.

Hospital Policy

Covid-19 visitor and delivery policy will differ from one hospital to the next and is subject to change. We do our best to stay on top of which hospitals are allowing delivery and which aren't but we hope you understand that this information is constantly changing and it isn't always possible for us to know a hospital's delivery policy in advance. If you're ordering an item that does not come from our on-site partner gift shop and requires an outside delivery we will call the hospital before delivery to confirm that they are accepting outside deliveries.

If an order is not able to be delivered to the hospital we are happy to reroute your order to a home address if that is appropriate for your situation at no additional cost to you.

What You Can Do 
  • When placing your order be sure to include your phone number as well as your recipient's phone number if possible.
  • Include your recipient's home address in the 'Additional Information' section at checkout.

Weekend Availability

We always will do our best to deliver on weekends but increasingly are finding it difficult to find delivery partners in particular regions. As a result we may not be able to honor same day delivery on weekends. Some of these regions include, but are not limited to, North Carolina, South Carolina, parts of Georgia, and rural Pennsylvania. Our customer service team will do its best to find a partner to deliver your order during the weekend but it is possible that if you are ordering on a Friday after 1PM in the recipient's time zone that the earliest we'll be able to deliver will be the following Monday. Our team will communicate with you via email, text and/or phone to let you know the status of your order.

  • When placing your order be sure to include your phone number and email address so that we can keep you updated regarding the status of your order.

Floral Availability

You may have noticed it is more difficult to find certain items at the grocery store recently. The pandemic has caused shortages of many items we're used to finding regularly and unfortunately this includes flowers. Additionally, some of our floral partners are reluctant to send their drivers to hospitals due to Covid-19 so we may need more time than usual to find a partner to fulfill your order.

What You Can Do 
  • When adding a floral bouquet to your cart you have the option to approve a substitution in advance. This allows our floral designers to fill your bouquet to cost with the fresh flowers they have on hand.
  • Consider ordering one of our themed 'Bouquet of the Day' bouquets. These bouquets are filled to order by expert floral designers with fresh and beautiful flowers according to your specified theme.
